Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh
Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh is a highly accomplished business leader and strategic visionary, currently serving as the National Digital Transformation Lead for Microsoft Africa. With an exceptional career spanning over two decades, Angela has made significant contributions to the financial services and technology industry, both globally and within Africa.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Angela held the role of Regional Head/CEO for IBM North, East, and West. Notably, she made history as the first woman and the first African to hold this esteemed position. In this role Angela led the organization's business and strategy, driving growth and transformation for customers across 35 countries in Africa including Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya and Ghana.
During her 10-year tenure at IBM, Angela held several roles such as the Marketing Lead for West Africa and the Strategy Lead for Central, East, and West Africa. In 2015, she assumed the role of Country General Manager for IBM Ghana, becoming the first female country manager in Africa. Notably, she also held a global position as the Chief of Staff to the SVP of Global Markets at IBM's headquarters in the United States.
Prior to joining IBM, Angela worked for prominent financial institutions such as UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO in the UK. She then took on leadership roles as the Head of Consumer Banking for GT Bank Ghana and the Head of Prestige Banking for UBA Bank Ghana. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Angela is a strong advocate for women empowerment. She actively supports and mentors women in the corporate sector, embodying the ethos of "women supporting women." Furthermore, Angela has a philanthropic spirit, dedicating her efforts to the development of underprivileged communities in rural Ghana.
In addition to her professional endeavours, Angela serves on the board of the Central Bank of Ghana and the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) which is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.
Angela is a dedicated mother to two boys and an esteemed alumna of the Harvard Business School. Her unwavering passion for innovation, her commitment to empowering women, and her exceptional leadership continue to inspire generations to come.
